Right now, on the Google Play Store there are over 20 apps compatible with the Google Cardboard. The virtual reality glasses made up of carton were released in June at Google’s I/O Conference. In a short time 500,000 units had been sold and the market wants more. One of the most interesting features the application has that it allows users to experience virtual reality through Google Earth and YouTube. Google designed the basic Cardboard application with customizing options. But this was only the beginning step because now Google wants to offer more, as they announced: “We also want to help you tailor the viewing experience to its unique optical layout. So early next year we’ll be adding a viewer calibration tool to the Cardboard SDK. You’ll be able to define your viewer’s base and focal length, for example, then have every Cardboard app adjust accordingly.”
