As a result of the introduction of this new feature, Gmail will now be able to detect timestamps and dates in the text part of the email messages and also highlight the portion. Users are also given the freedom to click on the highlighted text and thus take necessary action from the pop-up dialog box to configure a calendar entry.

This way, the overall process of creation and modification of the calendar entry will take place within the Gmail interface. You don’t have to worry much about what prompted you to create a calendar entry since the calendar entry will have a link pinging back to the email from which the entry was made.

In the future, has plans to integrate the feature into the non-English versions as well. Currently, the feature is offered to only the English version of Gmail. This new feature will enable the users to access Calendar more conveniently than ever before.
