The URL of the newly created site is scroogled.com and makes a claim that all of ’s shopping results are nothing but paid advertisements. Contrary to , Bing claims that their search results are honest and dedicated to actually benefit searchers.

Expert suggests that implications made by Scroogled is indeed a little misleading as it fails to critique generic search results.  The site predominantly attacked the shopping search results offered at .com/shopping.

Though Bing just focused on Shopping search result doesn’t mean the accusations were not having merit. As a matter of fact, the accusations do have some merit since the recently amended Google shopping policy pushes Google to feature information about Google advertisers only. So, to some extent Bing’s claim does have some point. To help the users, the site explains the term ‘scroogled’ to the users via a dictionary entry.
