Google’s “hum to search” function can help now find a song if the user can remember a fragment of melody. The feature works now in 20 languages. “Hum to search” launched Thursday on both the Google app for iOS and Android, according to Google’s blog. The feature is using the AI. The technology doesn’t expect the user to be a perfect singer. There is also a link to listen to the song on major streaming services. To use „hum to search” On your iOS device, open the Google app or find the Google Search widget. Tap the mic icon and say: “What’s this song” or click the “Search a song button.” Then hum for 10 to 15 seconds.
It can be also launched in Google Assistant. Just say “Hey Google, what’s this song?” and then hum it. Google will return information on the song and artist, the lyrics and will offer to playit in a music app. This new tool only works on mobile devices, so at this time, it won’t work on Google Home or Nest speakers.
