The application is supposedly going to meet the requirement of Google’s terms of service. In the coming weeks, the release of this new app can be expected. The news has been confirmed by a spokesperson for Google.
The ploy to develop an app with Google comes after the YouTube app developed by Microsoft violated Google’s terms of service by not pushing Ads and allowing video downloads. Yesterday, Microsoft stopped the option for downloading, but is yet to start serving Ads.
Today, a joint statement is released by Microsoft and Google that says that, the two companies are working together to work on the update for the YouTube App for Windows Phone 8. The new app will push Ads. When the new update is ready to hit the app stores, the older one will be replaced with the new one.
