In the fifth and final set of the match, Nadal came back from behind to beat the top-ranked Djokovic 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-7 (3), 9-7.

The win means Nadal has now an impressive win loss record of 58-1. On the other hand, the loss is a frustrating one for Djokovic who has won all the other grand slams excepting the French Open. He was though excited to be a part of this enthralling match, but at the same time expressed his utter disappointment for being on the losing side.

Nadal is going to face the winner of the semi-final match between David Ferrer and Tsonga. Tsonga is trying real hard to be he first Frenchman to win the French Open title for the first time in last 30 years.

In the women’s single final to be held on Saturday, top-seeded will face defending champion Maria Sharapova.
