Four footballers and the president of Brazilian Palmas Fútbol y Regatas died in a private plane crash Sunday. The pilot has also died. The deceased footballers are Lucas Praxedes (23 years old), Guilherme Noé (28), Ranule (27) and Marcus Molinari (23). President Lucas Meira was aged 32. The commander of the plane is called Wagner. The aircraft was completely destroyed after the impact. The plane took off and crashed at the end of the Tocantins Aviation Association runway. The images of the accident show the plane, model BE58 Baron, completely destroyed after crashing and exploding in a wooded region. It was taking off for Goiânia, for the match between Vila Nova and Palmas on Monday 25th in the Copa Verde.
For their part, the managers of the Vila Nova club, with which the meeting was scheduled for Monday, also lamented the tragedy and proposed to postpone the game. The cause of the accident is not known.The incident recalls the tragedy in which the Chapecoense team, also from Brazil, suffered another plane accident where most of its members died.
