Rugby World Cup organizers express concern over beer stocks in Japan during tournament

The organizing committee has urged business operators to order in sufficient quantities of beer to avoid upsetting traveling fan. Running out of beer could trigger bad publicity on social media, a warning said. This was appreciated as „a realistic problem.” It is known that total beer consumption during the last quadrennial event stood at 1.9 million liters, including sales at public viewing sites. Of the total, 1.3 million liters was consumed at game venues. But what about Japan ? The beer is tasty. In Japan, people can buy the top beer brands off the shelf for US$2 a can. Japan also has stringent beer purity laws with absolutely zero chemicals allowed. Basically every corner of the country has at least one selling machine offering everything from cigarettes and  beer to coffee and juice.

Even the bathrooms are full of the sweet sounds and images of jazz in Japan. The 2019 Rugby World Cup will be the ninth Rugby World Cup. This will be the first time the tournament is to be held in Asia. The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 20 September 2019 in Tokyo Stadium.
