Cricketing Legend Tony Greig dies at the age of 66

Tony Greig was 66 at the time of his death. He had a heart attack at around 1.45 p.m. just a day after the Boxing Day test. His demise has brought in enormous mourn to those who knew him.

Greig was first suspected of an illness early this year during the ICC World T20 in Sri Lanka and while commentating in UAE. He was then moved to undergo tests. Results of the tests indicated that he has a lesion in his right lung. Further examinations and operations showed that the degree of the cancer commentating in the South Africa’s series against the Australians.  After retiring from Cricket, Greig has been a commentator for the Channel Nine.

His death has been termed by the cricketing world as a sad event and condolences have been reached out to Greig’s family.
