Pakistan Wins the 2nd ODI to level the 5 match Series

Earlier in the day, South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. South Africans had a poor start with Pakistani seamer Mohammad Irfan leading the destruction. He took 4 wickets conceding just 33 runs. Ajmal and Hafeez took two wickets each. South African’s were all-out with 4 balls remaining. They put on a total of 191 in their stipulated 44 overs.

Farhaan Berhardien was the top scorer for the South Africans scoring 58 runs. Spinner-cum-batsman Robin Peterson scored 44 valuable runs. Pakistan came into bat with a positive frame of mind. The never looked to be dominated by the South African bowlers. Misbah-ul-Haq scored 57 and took Pakistan to victory. He was aided by Shoaib Malik who scored a quick 35 off 38 balls and remained not out. Mohammad Irfan was awarded the Man of the Match trophy for his outstanding bowling performance. The 5-match series is now leveled 1-1.
