Last night at Verizon Center Washington's John Wall managed to pull off an insanely improbable shot. A quick replay of the game shows that the shot would have never happened if the intended hard foul would have been carried out perfectly. Some basketball coaches believe indeed in such game play tactics as it offers many advantages. Intimidation is of-course one of these.

Music Producer Jay-Z to Sell Barclay Center/Brooklyn Nets Shares


Music producer/ rapper Jay-Z will sell his shares of the Brooklyn Nets in a bid to advance his new sports agent career. Jay-Z is in the process of obtaining a National Basketball Association certification and a prerequisite of the certification requires him to relinquish his Nets shares.

Basketball player Iverson accused for violation of kids custody

American professional basketball player Allen Iverson (who earned the Associated Press High School Player of the Year Award in football and basketball) has problems because of the love for his own children.
Tawanna Iverson, his ex wife, accused him of refusing to return in her custody their five children, after a planned vacation. The five kids are from 2 to 16 years.

Flamboyant Lakers Owner, Jerry Buss Dies at the age of 80


Before buying Los Angeles Lakers, Jerry buss was a mathematician and a chemist. The millionaire bought Lakers in 1979 and with his head for business he managed to take over the NBA using the skills he acquired along the way. Through his charisma and personal alchemy, he managed to blend 2 generations of big named coaches and basketball marquee stars into ten championship teams. The 80 year old who guided the Lakers in the 80’s died on Monday. Pat Riley, a coach for 4 of Buss’s 10 teams said that he was more than an average owner.
