While being a little larger than Earth the planet is habitable because it orbits a sun-like star at a favorable distance.
The planet name is an acronym for Kepler Object of Interest. Astronomers do not have enough details about it but as far as they can tell the planet has similar ideal living conditions to Earth. There were many rumors before saying some recently discovered exo-planets are Earth-like and all to this date were eventually disproven.
NASA scientists from the Ames Research Center in California are very confident that this planed could be a prime candidate to host alien life. But let’s not get our hopes up just yet! The planet which is located a couple of light years away from us will not be explored during our lifetime mainly because with our current technology it would take us at somewhere from 50 years to 100 years to get a machine there. Then assuming our technology is advanced enough to get there in one piece and also to be able to find what we are looking for it would take at least a few other centuries until we will be able to send someone there.
