In the background you can hear Allen Chen who is a systems engineer in the Landing, Descent and Entry Systems at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
NASA generated this video from processed high-resolution color images it got from Curiosity. The video only has 4 frames per second but it’s more than enough to watch the descent and landing happen. The video also shows the moments when NASA lost direct contact with the rover (this was expected as Curiosity was closing in on Mars).
