The Red Planet is well known for its harsh conditions.
Curiosity was guided to Mars’ surface with the help of its descent-stage retrorockets. The rover was then lowered to the ground from above. Pictures from Curiosity Rover’s trip to Mars are posted to Twitter. This is the first time in history when NASA made a twitter account for one of its ships.
The first two available pictures from Mars’s surface are already available for download on the website www.NASA.gov. NASA offered a live feed of the landing process and has a collection of all photos from MARS available for viewing or download. In one of the photos you can see Curiosity’s shadow on the ground in Mars’ crater: Gale.
