The discovery was made using the 0.95m-diameter Kepler Space telescope. Its discovery brings the total number of confirmed planets to 1,030. Astronomers found that Kepler-452 planet 1.5 billion years older than our sun and probably is rocky. The search for another Earth is a search for alien life. The circumstellar habitable zone (CHZ), or simply the habitable zone, is the region around a star within which planetary-mass objects with sufficient atmospheric pressure can support liquid water at their surfaces. The concept was first presented in 1953 and is considered as a primary criterion for life.
