NASA will test this week the Orion capsule in unmaned mission

This is a very important project, preparing deep-space exploration with astronauts  on board in 2021. The cost of the actual mission is about $370 million.”Part of me hopes that everything is perfect,” Mark Geyer, NASA Orion Program manager said during the news conference. For the test flight the spacecraft will be loaded with 1,000 sensors to record and measure all aspects of the flight. The capsule’s sustainability to heat, its durability at high speeds and how space radiation affects the spacecraft’s computers are some important aspects to be clarified. The capsule is scheduled to be launched using a Delta IV Heavy rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s Space Launch Complex and will reach speeds of 32,000 km/h when it will approach Earth’s atmosphere upon return.
