According to this latest intense Sun eruption won’t negatively affect astronauts in space or our satellites. Although the won’t cause disruption on Earth it could cause auroras near the poles to appear.

The charged solar material aimed towards Earth will reach our planet in one to three days. The solar particles will interact with Earth’s magnetic field and will cause geomagnetic storms.

officials released a statement saying that “In the past, CMEs at this strength have had little effect. They may cause auroras near the poles but are unlikely to disrupt electrical systems on Earth or interfere with GPS or satellite-based communications systems”

The Sun is right now in its 11 year active period of solar weather cycle. We can expect to see even more intense solar eruptions this year when our Sun is expected to reach its peak.
