criticized world leaders and called the COP26 summit a “failure” on Friday,at a huge youth protest outside the venue of the climate summit in Glasgow. Thousands of demonstrators covered the city’s streets. Crowds chanted “We are unstoppable, another world is possible,” and other slogans. Thunberg defined the global summit “a global greenwash festival” and “a two-week long celebration of business as usual.” “The leaders are not doing nothing. They are actively creating loopholes … to benefit themselves,” was her message. Many of the young activists in Glasgow urged more radical commitments. “It is not a secret that COP26 is a failure. It should be obvious that we cannot solve the crisis with the same methods that got us into it in the first place,” said. “Once again we are faced with another COP event. How many more of these should they hold until they realize that their inactions are destroying the planet?” another activist said at the protest.

Criticism manifested on the summit too. It was signaled that China, Russia and India , the three countries responsible for 35 percent of global methane emissions , have not yet signed the global methane pledge sustained by over 100 countries around the world. However there were constructive discussions about renewable energy development and the already rapid deployment of less carbon-intensive energy. To stop deforestation became a goal and the voice of young people penetrated the tranquility manifested yet at the decision time.
