Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority tests emissions of vehicles made by 23 brands


The polluted emissions is a serious problem with impact on environment and climate change and Volkswagen was only one brand to cheat. A dealer familiar with Volkswagen’s plans says the automaker intends to offer $1,000 in gift cards and vouchers to owners of smaller diesel cars as a gesture of goodwill to owners with 2-liter four-cylinder diesel engines that have been implicated in an emissions cheating scandal. However, as many observers told,  this is a global problem that will require a coordinated global solution. The ICCT sponsored study in the U.S., which opened eyes of authorities worldwide was just the beginning. Now, every nation must realize it’s responsibility.
