CERN physicists from the Atlas and CMS experiments reported with one in 3.5 million chance of mistake that they found a way to generate the presence of Higgs boson particle.
The so called “God Particle” was the last missing piece of the twelve part particle model that describes the basic building blocks of our universe. All particles except this one have been found. The Higgs particle was until this date the missing piece that could validate the Standard Model.
If scientists would have discovered that Higgs particle could not exist then mankind would have had to rethink how the universe is put together. Higgs particle was dubbed the “God particle” because of its importance. Since it was a missing piece in the theory that explained why other particles have mass it could thus prove why matter as we know it exists.
