A problem that was recently revealed by some people was that the application sneaked sexual content and even references to pedophilia. Although the application was rated for ages 4+ it seems it passed Apple’s porn filter and got in the hands of kids and people all ages.
Apple has always put a lot of work in order to keep such content out of its application store. Furthermore the big company is against any application that promotes distasteful and dangerous content. But Boyfriend Maker seems to have got past Apple’s radar. How? The source of the bad content is the third-party chat engine used by the application. The engine suggests responses based on replies given by other players.
Nor Apple or the application author made a public statement about who actually pulled down Boyfriend Maker from the application store.
