According to the executive’s public statement developers most likely chose to test Ouya in such an early phase because they wanted to experiment with the platform and with their development kits. But the future is bright for Ouya as Kellee Santiago announced that Ouya will make partnerships with larger publishers and developers in the next months.
The executive continued: “I think it’s fundamentally about experiences the developers make. What are the quality of the experiences themselves? Our goal at Ouya is to empower developers to provide entertaining experiences for the living room.”
Ouya’s plan to remain attractive to gamers world-wide is to release new iterations of its popular game console every year. This strategy will allow the company to have a console with updated hardware specs.
