Aaron Collins was not rich and he never had enough money to leave a big tip to a waiter or waitress. He confesses in his last wish list that this is something he wanted to do. He specifically mentions:
“I’m not talking about 25%. I mean $500 for a … pizza,”
Seth Collins, Aaron’s brother wanted to make his brother’s final wish a reality. He organized a donation campaign on the site dedicated to Aaron and promoted the idea: giving a $500 tip out of the donations. People donated and once there was enough money the whole Collins family went to a local Pizza place and videotaped the waitress as they gave the big tip.
The video was then uploaded to Youtube and it went viral. It now has more than 1 million 800 thousand views and a lot of positive feedback. The video made it to be a news on many news sites and the donations grew and grew. The family can now give a $500 tip to 56 waiters, one per week for over a year!
