Amazon’s new food delivery service is cheaper than mainstream supermarkets

In the months to come AmazonFresh will continue rolling out to major cities, having in total 130000 products to offer. The web giant will sell products from big brands too. Delivery of what one purchased costs extra and shoppers must also support subscription fees but overall it can be worth it. It all depends on your needs and purchase history. Some analysts even go so far as to say that AmazonFresh could start some price wars despite the hefty Amazon Prime and Amazon Fresh subscription fees.

Amazon encourages bigger shopping carts as their delivery fees are waved for orders above a certain value. And with their one-hour delivery slot the service is becoming more attractive. The company limits this one-hour delivery promises only to the orders made between 7 to 11 am. Outside this interval shoppers can still expect same day delivery. Any order made before 1 pm will get delivered the same day after 5 pm.
