The same study showed that the women from the same category are 50 percent more likely to die at a younger age. Cardiovascular disease expert, Ankur Vyas, said the following while explaining the results of the study: “Our study suggests an association between higher diet soda drink consumption and mortality,”
The study was possible thanks to nearly 60k women that participated in a women’s health study that lasted close to a decade. Every woman that participated in the study also answered questions regarding diet sodas and diet fruit drinks consumption. The gathered data was checked after nine years and medics were able to come with these statistics. The authors of the study cared to point out that they don’t claim diet drinks cause these health problems but they did find an association which should be known and noted.
