New 41 cases of coronavirus infection on the cruise ship Diamond Princess

Other 41 people were found infected with coronavirus on the cruise ship the Diamond Princess, quarantined in Yokohama with 3700 persons on board.

The total now is 61. The 61 confirmed patients are 28 from Japan, 11 from the U.S., 7 from Australia and Canada , 3 from China and one from another country. The last 41 people infected were sent to hospitals in Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa and Shizuoka prefectures. None of the 41 new cases are showing severe symptoms, officials said.The quarantine is due to last until February 19. The new cases on the Diamond Princess bring Japan's number of confirmed cases to 86, the second highest figure after China.

The passengers on the vessel are required to monitor their temperatures. Some inside cabines have no windows and no fresh air. They have to wear a mask when are outside. They have to take care of the cleanliness and hygiene of their own room. A separate cruise ship, the World Dream, has been quarantined in Hong Kong after eight former passengers caught the virus. None of the 3,600 on board have tested positive. The virus has killed at least 636 people in China.
