The “pregnant man rage” comic found here quickly became a hit on Reddit. Reddit user “CappnPoopDeck” is the friend of the “pregnant man”. You can only imagine his shock when the first comment he got on Reddit was “If this is true, you should check yourself for testicular cancer. Seriously. Google it.”
The following Reddit comments continued to raise awareness and gave several other examples in which users that posted image examples of a funny thing later found out they had a serious problem. As it turns out the man who got a positive result out of a pregnancy test kit had indeed a rare form of testicular cancer.
The Choriocarcinoma tumor, an aggressive form of testicular cancer, secretes a pregnancy hormone called Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). Pregnancy test kits actually look for this hormone in a tester’s pee. Thanks to Reddit users CappnPoopDeck’s friend got his problem checked out at a medic and found out about his condition. He was lucky because if he wouldn’t have done his rage comic medics say the cancer could have been discovered too late.
