The pop star Justin Bieber postponed shows, he has Ramsay Hunt syndrome


The 28-year-old pop star announced he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome that can lead to temporary facial paralysis and hearing loss. In some conditions it can become permanent. He even was enable to blink the right eye. „Please pray for me,” the artist asked. This week, on Tuesday, he announced he was postponing shows on his Justice World Tour. The 28-year-old pop star took to his Instagram on Friday to share a three-minute video explaining the diagnosis. ‘Can’t believe I’m saying this. I’ve done everything to get better but my sickness is getting worse,’ Bieber concluded. The Justice World Tour began in February was set to have 130 dates all around the world through the rest of this year and into next year.


Ramsay Hunt syndrome is a complication of shingles, caused by the same virus as chickenpox (VZV). The virus can be dormant for years and can be reactivated even by stress. Five in every 100,000 adults in the US can develop RHS. Treatment usually involves antiviral medication. „I love you guys. Thank you for being patient for me and I am going to get better. I’m doing all of these facial exercises to get my face back to normal and it will go back to normal,” Justin confessed.
