Country singer and songwriter Loretta Lynn, 85, is recovering after a stroke

Loretta’s autobiography Coal Miner’s Daughter from 1977 was turned into a movie which became popular and brought an Oscar for Sissy Spacek’s portrayal of the singer. As a  country music singer-songwriter, born in the family of a coal miner, inspired even from her own marriage, Lynn wrote songs about sex, divorce, cheating and not at last about birth control or repeated childbirth discussing common subjects for many people. She is the most awarded female country recording artist and the only female ACM Artist of the 1970s  Decade.. She was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1983, the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1988, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame  in 2008. She was honored in 2010 at the Country Music Awards and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama in 2013. Over 48 million of her     70 albums have been sold worldwide.
