The Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma starrer “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” has garnered Rs. 86.73 crore in India. On the contrary, Sonakshi Sinha starrer “Son of Sardar” has accumulated 71.23 crore in India.
Trade pundit Taran Adarsh has said that this Diwali is the best for the movie industry. The two movies have collected Rs. 200 crore in just six days which is a remarkable achievement. Prior to the release of the two movies there were speculations that the business of “Son of Sardar” may take a low owing to lesser number of screenings. But trade Pundit Taran Adrash has differed in this regard ad has said that the fewer screening did not have an impact on the box office numbers.
Trade analysts have suggested that the box office collection have jumped up by 30 percent compared to last Diwali. They have termed the year one of the best for the exhibitors.
