The drama Smash presented the scenes of Marilyn Monroe’ life in a musical that brought up to 12 million people craving for more right from the very start of the show. It is true that NBC pushed hard in the beginning. The musical drama had everything drama, good actresses and an exciting behind-the-scenes tale of an interesting life story.

The decision of NBC officials was somehow anticipated. The network bosses reportedly did all they could to help the drama get back on its track but they just couldn’t achieve this. NBC finally decided to cut the cord on the struggling series after two seasons. The show will finish the last season with a series finale which will air on May 26, Sunday and it will be a two hour sendoff.
