To her defense Wang Xiaomeng explained that the photos that present her as a sexy police officer were made during a promotional shoot for a detective novel. The model uploaded the photos to a popular social networking site and also added a fictional description to spice things for her fans.
Part of the description read: “As a new cop in my hometown, I need to learn the basics. As one of the flowers of the force, I am under pressure. I have to eat and drink with government leaders every day.”
The court was not impressed. Although most of her fans loved the photos some apparently took offense. This was enough for government officials to instruct the police to arrest the model. Wang won’t have to spend any time in jail because after the jail sentence was given she got a one year suspension for the previous sentence.
