Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are officially divorced now


are officially divorced a decade after separating. a judge who had worked to mediate the breakup “signed off on a divorce earlier this month,” but it was Tuesday that the required sitting judge made it official by logging it into the court system. Shriver, 66, initially filed for divorce from Schwarzenegger, 74, in July 2011 citing “irreconcilable differences.”The couple, who wed at St Francis Xavier Church, in Hyannis, Massachusetts in 1986, had a reported net worth of over $400 million but had to divide that in half. It is believed the couple split the property empire. They have four children together: Katherine, 32, Christina, 30, Patrick, 28, and Christopher, 24. Maria was represented by famous divorce lawyer Laura Wasser while Arnold hired Kristina Royce. Despite their split, the exes remained cordial over the years and have spent different family holidays together.


Arnold has been dating physical therapist Heather Milligan for over eight years while Maria was in a relationship with Matthew Dowd. In the more than a decade since the breakup, the actor-turned-politician has made projects including The Expendables 3 and Terminator Genisys. Shriver, meanwhile, has worked for NBC News and authored a book, I’ve Been Thinking …: Reflections, Prayers and Meditations for a Meaningful Life, which was a New York Times bestseller.
