The show was obviously cancelled and the famous illusionist was rushed to the ER at Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center. He was however discharged sometime later that night. Some light into what really happened was shed as a concerned audience member documented the events on Facebook on the official Mindfreak Facebook page.
The stunt that gave Criss problems during this show requires him to hang upside down while being buckled into a straitjacketed harness. Last time when he performed a similar routine was in New York City a couple of years back. Then he suffered a shoulder injury which forced him to a 10-week hiatus of his show Believe.
“What an awful experience!.. 10 minutes into the show, Criss Angel was doing his upside down straitjacket stunt and was almost out after spinning for 2 minutes and then they let him down. He stopped moving, curtain down. Break for 15 minutes. Now show cancelled. Hope he is OK!! Didn’t appreciated peoples comments as they were leaving”, related Peter Sehl.
