Barbra Streisand addressed Apple’s CEO Tim Cook with a motivated request


“Streisand with a soft S, like sand on the beach. I’ve been saying this for my whole career. And so what did I do? I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on Sep. 30,” the 74-year old singer-filmmaker said to the media. In fact, Siri pronounced her name as “Streizzzand”, it was revealed.

Barbra Streisand has become an icon in multiple fields of entertainment, and has been recognized with two Academy Awards,  ten Grammy Awards including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and the Grammy Legend Award, five including one Daytime Emmy,  a Special Tony Award, an American Film Institute award, a Kennedy Center Honors prize, four Peabody Awards,  the Presidential Medal of Freedom and nine Golden Globes.She is one of only two artists who have also won a Peabody. She had more than 68.5 million albums in the United States and a total of 145 million records sold worldwide
