The guitarist Joe Perry collapsed backstage performing in Coney Island

The band continued to play after Perry collapsed. He was taken to Coney Island hospital and his condition was not known. Later Cooper thanked concerned fans and updated them on his condition as well on Twitter: “Thanks to everyone asking about our brother @JoePerry. He is stable right now, with family & is under the best care. Alice Cooper” Perry was ranked 84th in Rolling Stone’s list of The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Aerosmith and into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2013. During years he was successful with the Aerosmith band. In 2008  was released Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, a video game featuring the band’s songs. From May 17 to June 28 of 2014, Perry performed 15 shows with Aerosmith on the European leg of the Global Warming Tour. As a known curiosity, Perry currently has a collection of about 600 guitars.
