Controversial report of Sinead O’Connor suicide threat

This occurred one month after she disappeared in Wilmette, a Chicago suburb. Cops were told to be on the lookout. They even spotted a woman who fit O’Connor’s description, but it was not her. Sinead’s been struggling with depression. O’Connor said she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder more than a decade ago and has spoken publicly of her mental health problems.

Finally, now, updating her official Facebook page, O’Connor has dismissed reports suggesting she was missing and had threatened to jump off a bridge. She also called  the report “false and malicious gossip”. She also referred to the Brexit and stated that the UK’s European Union referendum result meant “Ireland is officially no longer owned by Britain”. The singer-songwriter achieved worldwide success in 1990 with a new arrangement of Prince’s song “Nothing Compares 2 U”. Since then she has occasionally encountered controversy, partly due to her statements and gestures.
