Michael Jackson is adored worldwide and has been the inspiration for many statues across the globe. A such statue commissioned by business magnate Mohamed Al-Fayed was unveiled even outside of Craven Cottage on the grounds of Fulham Football Club. At aHard Rock Hotel in Penang, Malaysia, a white-washed Michael Jackson statue welcoming visitors presents similarity to the Lincoln Monument. Los Angeles based artist Maria von Kohler installed her artwork entitled Madonna and Child at The Premises Studios in East London in 2011 capturing the moment when Michael showed off his 9-month old son Prince Michael II from a hotel balcony. A bronze figure of Michael, arms outstretched with a smile on his face, is an oft-visited feature of the Guangzhou Sculpture Park in Guangzhou City, China. An accessible, smiling Michael, casually scratching his head statue is installed in Magicland Theme Park in Valmontone, Rome. A copper statue immortalising Michael in a mid-funky fresh dance move was erected in Shan Yuan Temple in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. And there are other original Michael’s statues in the world.
