People on the golf course helped him. Two doctors happened to be playing golf nearby. Paramedics arrived soon. Ford had a cut to his forehead and scraped arms but he had good vitals. His injuries were not life-threatening and he is “expected to make a full recovery,” according to his representative Ina Treciokas. The plane was a 1942 Ryan Aeronautical ST3KR. Ford got his pilot’s license in the late 1980s. “He is an unbelievably well-trained pilot,” said Christian Fry of the Santa Monica Airport Association. The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
