The moment was one to remember as Molner gave Couric a beautiful diamond ring and popped the question on a beach in East Hampton at sunset. Katie went public with her relationship only in April 2012 but showed off her new cushion cut diamond ring only days later at the U.S. Open.
At the ceremony the bride wore a crystal beaded, ivory and embroidered lace halter gown. A close friend of the two was one of the ring bearers. Molner’s nieces and nephews served as the flower girls and the other ring bearer. For Couric this is her second marriage. Her first husband died back in 1998 of colon cancer.
Couric’s fans who wanted her to find love once more were thrilled to see the bride finally find true happiness again. Couric marked the moment by writing the following post on Twitter: “(I am) so excited to make my debut as Mrs. John Molner.”
