Gandolfini had an impressive artistic career. His role as Tony Soprano gave him three Emmy Awards. In 2009 he was also nominated for Tony Award for his work in the production of God of Carnage.
The sudden disappearance of the great actor generated a lot of posthumous feedback. Some appreciations described him as “a unique combination of charming and dangerous” or “a special man, a great talent, but more importantly a gentle and loving person who treated everyone, no matter their title or position, with his equal respect.”
Although he had many other roles, Gandolfini will remain in the collective memory as the embodiment of a complex character, “The Mob Boss”. Many of those who watched the famous series The Sopranos have thought that there will be a continuation of the last episode. Nobody could imagine that will follow even the breakup of the one who gave so much time alive on screen to the famous character.
Gandolfini was last married to the former model Deborah Lin. Their daughter Ruth was born on October 10, 2012. The actor had a son with his ex-wife Marcy Wudarski.
