According to reports from Advertising Age reports, an internal memo from the USA chief operating officer of McDonald’s has asked the franchises to remain open during the Christmas holidays to lift sales. The urge from the fast-food chain comes after huge profit was made by the open 6000 franchises on Thanksgiving Day.
The memo states that beginning with Thanksgiving the food chain will try to ensure that the restaurants are open throughout the holiday season. They are considering the holiday season a great way to boost sales figures.
That being said, McDonald’s employees will not be receiving overtime pay of any sort for working on these holidays.
A lot of these employees make minimum wages throughout the country. Jobs in these food chain stores belong to the most underpaid jobs.
