The executive director of marketing Matt Mason declared  “We’ve been trying to groom the entertainment industry to think about BitTorrent as a partner”. BitTorrent will convince media companies to use its technology for streaming after it pushes aside the free and illegal downloads.

This is a “nightmare come true” for pirates world-wide. Some might even say that BitTorrent is a sell-out.

BitTorrent doesn’t want to deal anymore with the messy content part of torrenting and instead wants to represent the technology behind a revolution in media streaming. After all, who can really blame them? Things worked rather well for Napster. BitTorrent might just revolutionize the way we stream movies online. Hulu and Spotify could become a thing of the past as BitTorrent has really big plans.
