Good news from the LG company, prepared for 2022

The LG company shared the first details on its 2022 TV lineup. First, its more affordable C2 lineup will include the “evo” panel technology the company debuted in 2021. OLED Evo is the latest generation of LG’s self-emissive pixel technology. OLED panels deliver perfect black levels, vivid colors, and exceptional contrast ratios. The new Alpha 9 Gen 5 AI processors will help further increase luminance through a smarter algorithm and better heat dissipation. It will also give images a more “3D” appearance. The operating system will allow individual profiles, by customization of menu for quick access to favorite streaming services. Each person using the TV can set up their own favorites and content recommendations. The company says users will watch cable and satellite content on two television sets without an extra set-top box.

LG also promises a better gaming experience thanks to its updated Game Optimizer. All G2 and C2 sets will support G-Sync, FreeSync and variable refresh rates. A new Dark Room Mode will adjust the screen brightness depending on the lighting in the environment. The G2 series will consist of 55-, 65- 75-inch models. The company will also offer two new 83- and 97-inch sets. The new update also allows the TV to function as a controller for devices using the Matter standard, starting sometime in the second half of 2022.
