Samsung made a profit by providing hardware for Apple and eventually decided to launch their own phones and tablets.

Apple intended several patent trials against Samsung in hope that Samsung will be forced to stop selling its competitive products. The latest trial began couple of days ago in San Jose, California. During Apple vs Samsung patent trial the two companies tried to prove the judges their side of the story.

Phil Schiller, Apple’s chief in marketing, slipped crucial details that explain how Apple marketing works. Apple doesn’t rely on traditional advertising when launching new products. Instead it seeks to do product placement in movies or TV shows. It also relies a lot on Media as their positive reviews are more than enough to start viral campaigns.

Apple loves to see their products used by stars. Now that Apple’s strategy was made public we can expect more companies to try and use the same methods for promoting their own products.
