Jessica Alba’s Honest company sued, accused of being deceptive

A consumer who claims that Alba’s products which the company describes as “natural” actually contain synthetic preservatives has filed a class action lawsuit. In the documents Jonathan D. Rubin reportedly claims that the Honest Company Inc. at the District Court of Northern California in San Francisco has “deceptively and misleadingly” marketed its products. In light of this the company was quick to respond: “The Honest Company is committed to providing safe and effective products, and we take all consumer feedback very seriously.”

Jessica Alba, who co-founded The Honest Company this past year, explained in an interview that she has big plans for the company. She wants to build up a brand which she hopes she will pass over on one day to her two daughters Honor and Haven. The 34-year-old actress detailed that she wants to inspire her daughters to become entrepreneurs when they get older.
