McDonalds will change its burgers in order to boost sales

The current patties used for the burgers now weigh 4 ounces and when cooked go to 2.8 ounces. McDonalds plans to make bigger quarter-pounder patties that will initially weigh 4.25 ounces. McDonalds will also change how it currently sears and grills the beef patties as it wants to make them juicier. The buns will pe toasted for some extra seconds. This will be enough to make them warmer and make the overall burger taste better.

Steve Easterbrook, McDonald’s CEO, explained the changes: “These little things add up to big differences for our customers.. We’re recommitting to tastier food across the menu”. Among McDonalds haters the perception is that its food is over-processed or even unhealthy and the fast-food chain wants to change these preconceptions. The company also wants to get over a series of food-safety scandals from Asia, which unfortunately contributed to a 15% loss in their net income last year.
