. It’s an unexpected fact and probably it will be commented for a long time. As announced, Facebook and Apple will both cover the costs of egg-freezing procedures up to $20,000 for individual employees. This is an important amount of money. On the other part, it seems that the egg freezing (oocyte cryopreservation) procedure itself is unpleasant and much time consuming. The technology itself hasn’t been very reliable and was until recently considered experimental. The ethical consideration is however the first to be discussed and the majority of expressed opinions up to date sustain that a couple must decide itself when will have a child.
Because the money donors are in strong position they will probably impose a such comportment to their employees. Only the time to come will show however if this will become a new trend and possibly a new standard for the human life.
