Rapper and singer Juice WRLD, born Jarad Anthony Higgins, who turned 21 on December 2, has died in Chicago.
He suffered a medical emergency at Chicago's Midway Airport and died at a nearby hospital. (Law enforcement sources say he was bleeding from the mouth when paramedics got on scene.) The cause of death is unclear at this time. An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday. Juice, who was named Top New Artist at the Billboard Music Awards in May, was the most streamed, liked, and reposted artist on its platform in 2018 and "Lucid Dreams" notched the most plays of any song last year. The song "All Girls Are the Same," also became a hit.
His debut album “Goodbye & Good Riddance” reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart in its third week of release in June 2018. His second album, “Death Race for Love,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 2000 in March 2019. His songs reached Billboard’s Hot 100 chart 25 times in less than two years. Records ... signed him to a multi-million dollar contract. He had also done major collaborations with Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Benny Blanco and Ellie Goulding.
