Injured people in stampede at the Astroworld Festival

At least three people were injured in a stampede at Houston's biggest music festival Astroworld. They were transported to a hospital with minor leg injuries.

The promoters didn't plan for such large crowds. This is the third concert tour by American recording artist Travis Scott in support of his third studio album Astroworld (2018). The initial idea of the Astroworld – Wish You Were Here Tour was to revive the childhood amusement park, Six Flags AstroWorld, so each stage was decorated in a fashion reminiscent of the theme park. the Astroworld Festival includes performances by Migos, Pharrell Williams Marilyn Manson, Rosalía, Megan Thee Stallion, Da Baby and many others. 50,000 people were expected to attend.

Travis-Scott

According to witnesses at the festival, the gates were broken down by a rowdy crowd, anxious to get into. Travis Scott (born Jacques Berman Webster, in Houston) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. Webster's father is also a soul musician and his grandfather was a jazz composer. He attended the University of Texas San Antonio but abandoned to fully pursue his music career in New York. Soon he moved to Los Angeles, California. Astroworld was released on August 3, 2018 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
